COULEURS DU SUD NOW IN NYC

Painted in NYC, the 2025 expansion of my Couleurs du Sud series is now available. These works were exhibited for the first time in Manhattan in June, at an artist residency open studio exhibition, and will next be shown at the Battersea Art Fair, October 2025.

Since moving to the South of France three years ago, the southern light and Provençal landscape have infused my palette with a newfound breath and luminosity. Like countless artists, I’ve been inspired by this region I now call home - steeped in art history, with a landscape that feels as though it has been painted by nature itself. From the timeless elegance of the Côte d’Azur, or the soft, suffusing light that bathes Provence and its perched villages in golden warmth, this region is a textured tapestry. And these paintings are a reminder to savour each moment.

By returning to oil paint alone over the past three years, I have allowed a more gestural and painterly body of work to soar. The paintings invite communion - a ‘place’ for shared vulnerability between myself and the viewer. These works offer ambiguous spaces to dwell and feel, where one is not looking at something, but inside something.
